Practicum Blog

I am meeting with two Dare County Schools librarians for the first time! I am very excited to be meeting with the media specialists from First Flight Middle School (FFMS) and First Flight High School. (FFHS).
My practicum will begin officially in January of 2013, but I am meeting my supervising teachers early in the hopes of working with them a bit more before Spring semester starts.
More to come!

I am meeting with librarian Ellen Bryson, from Kitty Hawk Elementary School tomorrow for the first time! I will primarily be based at KHES to complete my practicum, but I will be able to travel to other schools in the district and get to observe other schools . I am very fortunate to be located in Dare County schools, where technology eduction is at the forefront of library instruction.
North Carolina is one of the first states to fully integrate the new 21C learner standards into their schools curriculum.
Grateful thanks to all three librarians for helping to provide me the best experiences they can while I complete my practicum with them. I look forward to working all of you!
***Note: This is just an introductory blog about my practicum experience. My final blog/reflections and thoughts will be private and will not be seen on-line.
